I recently bought new printheads in March for this HP DesignJet 500. Two of them are already reading as 'faulty.' I'm not sure who the vendor for the printheads is; I bought them through Amazon. Two questions:
- Can you sell me printheads for this machine which will work?
- Can you sell me that circuit board which convinces the machine to accept ink cartridges which are not HP original? I'm not sure I can buy HP cartridges or printheads. Let me know otherwise, if you know something I don't.
The DesignJet 500 is a great machine. I just somehow have to keep it fed with ink and printheads which work.

Your best bet for printheads is to stick with HP brand.
