Designjet 5000 General Information

Posted by Bob Wert on

I found your website by doing a search for a problem an out of state acquaintance is experiencing with his printer.  It got me to thinking about a printer for myself and after reading what he posted about the HP Designjet 5500PS 42” printer. Please correct me if I’m wrong but this printer seems like a workhorse that has minimal problems if properly maintained.  It also seems like it will print on a wide variety of medias.  In fact they are said to be so good that HP is giving a $1500 credit towards a new printer if you send...

Designjet 5000 driver Windows 7

Posted by Bob Wert on

I recently purchased a Designjet 5000 and connected to my PC running Windows 7 Home Premium, unfortunately my PC didn't communicate with the printer, is there a software issue? can you please respond. Regards, Phil Ortiz Sr. Creative Roofing Solutions. If the plotter gets to a ready state without any errors, go into the set-up menu and run a demo plot.  If it prints, the plotter is good enough to communicate.   Get the “XP Pro 64” driver from HP.com and install it on your computer.  If you are using Ethernet, you will need to know the IP address of...

It is urgently and like to have your opinion with much appreciations. Best Regards Henry  You will need to replace the air pressure system (APS).  It is a small mechanism clipped under the ink supply station, fairly easy to replace.  The replacement procedure is in the service manual which can be downloaded from MANUAL. Air in ink tubes, failing print heads

Posted by Bob Wert on

Hello! I have a technical support question that I'm hoping you can help with and/or point me in the right direction with regards to which part I need to order. I was having a repeated Cyan printhead failure (after 2-3 feet of material) a while back and noticed air in the line, so I tried priming the tubes with no success. I've recently purchased a new ink system from you, and installed correctly using another new cyan printhead, and again, it's failed after a few feet. I've gone through 4-5 cyan printheads at this point, and just can't afford to...
