Tech Help — Designjet 500 800 Technical Help

The blue spring operates the carriage lock over the service station.  It is part of the Designjet 500 service station bracket and should be mounted as shown in the picture below: Here is where you can purchase the lock.

The error code 17:11 is not an error code listed in the service manual.  It seems to occur at the beginning of initialization and the plotter gets stuck there.  It is useful to use the green light on the power button to troubleshoot the problem rather than to try to interpret the code.If the green light is blinking twice every few seconds, the plotter cannot find the data cable that connects the interconnect board (the board the control panel plugs into) and the electronics module.  Try reseating the cable at the interconnect board and at the electronics module.  If the...

"We just received a replacement drive belt for our HP 500 from your company.  Directions and product are great.  Quick question.  Now that the new belt is on the carriage seems to be hitting the black support beam thing just under the top cover.  Almost seems like the ink tubes into the print heads are sticking up to high.  The tube assembly is locked into place as the directions say.  Am I missing something?  Any help would be greatly appreciated." "We just bought a belt from u guys to replace a 24" 500 plotter. Before the belt arrives a new staff messed around with the plotter and jam a 7 page bond paper, after we removed the jam the plotter just keep on rolling backwards. What could be the problem.
