NEVER FEAR, LPS IS HERE

no pulley
Hi Stephen, We do not include the pulley with the belt, and we have never claimed to. I only recommend replacing the tensioner if the bearing is worn out, or if one of the plastic arms has broken off. Our competitors include a pulley because their cheaply made belts do not fit the HP OEM tensioner pulley. The OEM belt (and our belt) has a differentiated surface: teeth on half the length of the belt, ribs on the other half. The OEM pulley is built for the smoothest possible ride for the carriage. The aftermarket pulleys are usually injection-molded pieces made of ABS plastic, often with a visible seam on the wheel, and warpage due to thermal shrinkage, both of which negatively impact carriage motion. I can't vouch for the quality of the bearing itself, but I'm sure it's not great. If you need to replace the pulley, the HP OEM pulley is available here: https://www.lpscomputer.com/products/c7769-60176-designjet-500-800-tensioner-assembly?_pos=1&_sid=3e5d5f6c7&_ss=r Best, Tim Wert
