I have an HP Designjet 500ps. I have recently changed the carriage belt using your video but I am getting "Error 87:13 - Possiblty Paper Jam com up" I have followed the instructions on the screen a number of times but can not seem to get past this point. Would you have any suggestions?  The plotter is not able to detect the lines on the encoder strip.  The encoder strip may be installed incorrectly or the trailing cable is not installed correctly.   The first thing to check is to see if there is any deflection in the encoder strip...

Last week I purchased a new belt and installed it. Everything went well had no problems. But now it prints a double line and shadows text. Some areas are printed correctly. If I change the settings to best, it prints a lot slower, but not the double line, as much but in some places. I was wondering if you had any suggestions. I changed all the inks, print heads, Black (twice). Before I purchase the belt kit #C7770-60014-K from your online store… I was wondering if we should be prepared to replace any other items as a “overhaul” on the 7 year old plotter? We don’t print daily.  The machine may be used once a week at best for print one or two black & white AutoCAD 2D line drawings.  No photos or images are printed. Any ideas on the life expectancy of the ink tubes? Ink tubes are usually ok until they leak ink or let air in.  If you are not experiencing either of those problems, the tube system...

Thank you for your wonderful video on Youtube on how to replace the belt. I ordered the belt from LPS and it arrived yesterday and needless to say I spent last night putting it in. With the help from your video I managed to replace it and put the machine back together again.  However, as soon as I plugged it in, and the machine turned on, the carriageway tried to make a pass over the service station but came to a stop and error message 20:10 came up on the screen.
