LPS's custom-engineered Belt is worth your time to install

If you're reading this, you already know the OEM DesignJet belts are underdesigned for these printers; they dry out, crack and shred. I just brought two 24" machines home as rescue printers, and the Z3100 had just such a shredded belt.

The belt takes time and patience to change; over an hour is typical, since you will want to do some cleaning inside the machine, especially if the belt shreds are in the paper or printhead path (While in there, I wound up also removing/ cleaning / reinstalling the service station and replacing the encoder strip).
Compared to the OEM HP belt, I found the the LPS belt to be a far superior material, more supple while, being a kevlar mix, likely much more durable. And it had the correct half-ribbed, half-toothed pattern (some aftermarket belts are toothed only and do not track correctly on the tensioning roller). I found my time to be worth spending fifty bucks for a belt I expect will last the remainder of the machine's life.

I live in Portugal and ordered a HP designjet Z2100 photo original replacement belt from a "local" dealer. In the meantime, I found your site and ordered your LPS belt as well.
