HP Designjet 500, 800 D-size (24") Trailing Cable - New part

the trailing cable has very fragile contacts. They tend to separate quite easily from their plastic backing. Once this happens, it's almost impossible to reconnect the cable without bending some of them. My cable didn't survive the second attempt at changing the drive belt, where there is no going around disconnecting the trailing cable. I was very relieved to find a business still capable to provide me this part. Even bought a second one. This is definitely the kind of parts you want to have in storage.

I was at my wits end trying to get help with my Designjet 500 when I ran across LPS on YouTube. The videos and phone support I got from the Wert family was just incredible! They know these machines so much better than anyone else I contacted. The parts they recommended were exactly what I needed and their phone support was amazing. Strongest possible recommendation!!!

I had replaced my cable with a lower priced one from another source. Still had problems. This cable worked. If your existing cable is the original, note very carefully how it is routes and oriented. I thought at first glance that it was straightforward and didn't take such careful note. It can take a while to figure out.

The cable works nice but I wish the ends were labeled and the red lines were on them. This would save a lot of hassle trying to match it up to the existing cable.
