This solved my printer problem

My z3200 quit and would just beep three times when plugged in. I first tried a new hard drive, but that didn't fix it. Second try was the formatter and that brought the printer back to life. LPS gave me a full refund on the hard drive which was very nice. I really like that LPS starts with the presumption that the customer actually has a brain. Such a change from all those places that start with a script that you have to follow for hours to prove absolutely nothing. One note on installing a new formatter. The formatter has the Ethernet connection and the card will have a new MAC address so your router or other DHCP server will give it a new IP address. The HP Utility then gets confused. I had to delete the driver and the HP Utility and reload both to get my computer to recognize the "new" printer. Nothing wrong with the formatter, just cranky HP software.
